This is an official company receipt for payment for 5 shillings (about £11.10 in modern money) signed by Mr B Delury and dated 31st March 1923.  The day Blackpool beat Manchester United 1-0 at Bloomfield Road and 25 years before the birth of the National Health Service which was born at the Trafford General in 1948. It was also signed during the reign of King George V  and the year of the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of York.
