Unitarian Chapel – 297-301 Oldham Road – Miles Platting – Manchester – M40 7PS

14 Aug

Unitarian Chapel, 297-301 Oldham Road, Miles Platting, Manchester, M40 7PS. Circa Sep 2009. Shortly before demolition.

Sadly in September 2009, Miles Platting in North Manchester lost one of it’s very last architectural gems, in the form of the former Unitarian Chapel on Oldham Road, distinctive and rare because of it asymmetrical roof. It was one of the last buildings of the period left standing after the mass demolitions of the past 50 years.
